Garam masala spice mix is a popular addition to many Indian recipes that helps to bring out the flavour in the dish. The whole spices are roasted well and then ground to a smooth powder which is then stored in an airtight jar for any future use. You can use them to make Paneer Tikka Masala or even to marinate your Paneers & aloo.You can also use this masala in Various panjabi recipes.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup whole coriander seeds
- ¼ cup whole cumin seeds
- 9 pieces cinnamon sticks , each having an approx size of about 2.5 to 3 inches
- 2 tablespoons cloves
- 10 tejpatta leaves
- 10 black cardamoms
- 2 tablespoons small cardamoms
- 1.5 tablespoon whole black pepper
- 3-4 piece whole dry red chillies of 1 inch or 2 tablespoons dry ginger powder
- 1 nutmeg
