Panjabi garam masala recipe | Homemade Panjabi masala recipe






Garam masala spice mix is a popular addition to many Indian recipes that helps to bring out the flavour in the dish. The whole spices are roasted well and then ground to a smooth powder which is then stored in an airtight jar for any future use. You can use them to make Paneer Tikka Masala or even to marinate your Paneers & aloo.You can also use this masala in Various panjabi recipes.



Ingredients:

  • ½ cup whole coriander seeds 
  • ¼ cup whole cumin seeds 
  • 9 pieces cinnamon sticks , each having an approx size of about 2.5 to 3 inches 
  • 2 tablespoons cloves 
  • 10 tejpatta leaves 
  • 10 black cardamoms 
  • 2 tablespoons small cardamoms 
  • 1.5 tablespoon whole black pepper 
  • 3-4 piece whole dry red chillies of 1 inch or 2 tablespoons dry ginger powder 
  • 1 nutmeg  


Step:1 Get all the ingredients together. 


Step:2 Heat a pan,Add all the masala expect ginger powder.


Step:3 Roast in a pan until you can smells the aroma coming through.(stir it in low to medium flame)


Step:4  So 5-7 minutes is enough don’t burnt it. Mix in a jar.


Use when your cooking panjabi Dishes like, Chhole, Paneer curry, Veg curry and more. You can also use in your dal and Sabzis but don’t put too much half tspoon is enough because homemade masalas are too strong
