 Chapter-11

After staying in Rajkot for some time, Sadguru Krushnacharandas Swami set out to tour villages with a group of saints and arrived at Hajdiyala village near Sardar. As there was no Swaminarayan temple, the saints stayed at the village crossroads. After afternoon discourse, they rested. A Garasiya devotee knowledgeable in astrology and palmistry noticed extraordinary vertical lines on Zhina Bhagat’s feet and foretold that he would become a great Sadguru. Zhina Bhagat humbly denied this, calling himself a servant. When this was told to Krushnacharandas Swami, he smiled and affirmed that Zhina Bhagat had signs of greatness.

Chapter-12 

During the Annakut festival in Mengani and Lodhika villages, Zhina Bhagat’s spirit of austerity and renunciation is revealed. Despite the grand preparation of sweets like sata and jalebi, he observed a fast and refused to eat. Even after repeated requests from the Darbar and Sadguru Krushnacharandas Swami, he maintained his fast. Pleased by his discipline and sacrifice, the Sadguru blessed Zhina Bhagat and advised other young saints to follow his example.

In Samvat 1967, Zhina Bhagat received initiation as an ascetic in Vadtal and was named Gyānjīvan Dāsji, later known as Yogiji Maharaj. He joined Shastriji Maharaj in spreading the Akshar-Purushottam doctrine. On the day of Aso Sud Ekadashi in Samvat 1969, during Krushnaji Ada’s final moments, Yogiji Maharaj was called and blessed with hands placed on his head. In an emotional farewell, Krushnaji Ada said “Jai Swaminarayan” and departed for Akshardham.

Yogiji Maharaj and the saints offered no resistance and endured everything with calmness. Local devotees intervened and restored peace. This incident highlights Yogiji Maharaj’s humility, patience, and equanimity in honor and dishonor.
